ON flórr 'floor of a cowshed', OE flōr 'floor; attic', English floor, Dutch vloer, OHG fluor 'field', MHG vluor, NHG Flur (from Low German?); from PGmc✱flōra- 'floor' < ✱plé/óh₂-ro- (EUR) (or from ✱plā-, see פֿלאָדן, פֿלאַך).
