פּאַזע
‘along, alongside, beside’

פּאַזע
'along, alongside, beside'

ETYMOLOGY

{Perhaps from Belarusian паза, if there is such a form? Shulamis's suggestion}
Polish poza 'outside of'; Ukrainian по́за 'out of'
Leibl suggests פּאַזע, earlier פּאָזע, is from Polish po za, as in po zabrzegu 'along the coast'. פּאַזע is the more Russified form. {Unlikely.}
