kohel 'die Versammlung; die Judenältesten ins gesammt; ein jeder ins besondere aber wird parness, genannt; Da bei grossen Juden Gemeinen ein jeder Aeltester einen Monath Präses ist und das Wort in der Versammlung hat; so wird der jenige an welchem der Monath ist, Parnes hachaudesch, genannt. Der Ober-Aeltester heist Rosch kakœl. Zu Prag aber alwo solcher Oberältester diesen Titul vom Kayser selbst hat, und übrigens viel vermag, wird solcher Primuss genannt. Die ganze Juden Gemeine heist die Kille' {Friedrich 1784: 24}
