The diffusion of the pronoun עץ/ענק/ענקער exclusively in Central Yiddish probably indicates a relatively late migration of Jews into Poland from Austrian lands where the Bavarian dialect was spoken. For example, all Jews were expelled from the Duchy of Austria in 1420-21, and again in 1669-70.
