[Eastern Yiddish seems have created a syncretic verb combingin the present tense and infinitive from NHG beugen, but the past participle געבויגן from biegen.
From the dictionaries, it looks as though OHG bougen and MHG böugen were significantly less frequent than OHG biogan and MHG biegen. Why then would biegen be lost? On the other hand, the meanings often seem interchangeable.]
